Church of Our Lady of the Assumption
Built in the 16th century. Of large dimensions, it consists of three naves, with cylindrical columns, ending in groin vaults, three skylights to the south and a chapel under the choir. Portico built by Juan de Herrera in 1756. Its tower is also Herrerian with a neoclassical finish, completed by Pedro Ortiz in 1789.
In the Gospel nave there is a 17th century altarpiece with paintings and another 18th century Baroque altarpiece.
In its presbytery there is a Neoclassical altarpiece with reliefs on the bench from the 18th century and two sculptures of Saints.
Hermitage of Our Lady of the Pietà
Made by contribution of the people in 1728. Inside we find:
- Our Lady of Pity. Polychrome wood carving, from the end of the 15th century
- Image of San Román. Perhaps it belongs to the old church of San Román.
- Image of San Isidro Labrador. Accompanied by the oxen and the plow.
HOUSE MUSEUM OF FRAY FELIX CUADRADO
Fray Félix Cuadrado Antolino (1863-1893) was a Dominican preacher and missionary in China who was born in this house on 30th January 1863, from a humble family that had been rooted in Villasarracino for generations.
The House-Museum was donated by the family of Fray Félix Cuadrado to the town of Villasarracino in 1960.
The museum collects oriental and Chinese objects, typical costumes of the Chinese workers, paintings, family furniture, figures and ornaments, together with religious objects of Fray Felix.
Among the pieces from the Philippines, there is a magnificent ivory "Holy Family" in the parish church, with a rich Philippine embroidered dress, a piece that was selected and exhibited in one of the editions of the “Ages of Man".
